ABC Assessments
At ABC, we believe in providing comprehensive and individualized assessments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental delays.
Our assessments are conducted by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), who have the necessary expertise to create effective ABA programs for children with Autism. [click here to learn more about BCBA]
The ABC assessment process consists of three steps:
1. BCBA Consultation
Understand Your Child’s Specific Needs
A comprehensive review of your child’s overall development.
45 minutes – 1 hour
During this 1:1 consultation, the BCBA will engage in a detailed discussion about your child’s unique needs to assess the potential benefits of ABA. The focus will be on understanding your child’s needs, challenges, and developmental goals.
You will receive expert guidance on the most appropriate course of action and the suitability of ABA intervention. Additionally, the BCBA will offer valuable insights into potential external resources that could complement the ABA program and further support your child’s progress.
2. Core Skill Assessment
Primary Holistic Analysis
A comprehensive analysis of the child’s needs with recommendations on the most suitable ABA program and the hours needed.
60-90 minutes
The assessment will be conducted with the BCBA and the child present. The BCBA will observe and assess the child’s skill levels, noting their strengths and areas that require attention. Based on the assessment findings, the BCBA will provide informed recommendations for an appropriate and tailored Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program suited to the child’s specific needs and developmental requirements.
Following the assessments, you can choose to enroll your child at ABC and begin their ABA program. At the start of the program, the team will develop a unique, tailored ABA program specifically for your child.
3. Individualized Education Program (IEP)
Deep Analysis of the Child’s Skills and Needs
A thorough assessment to create a tailored ABA program addressing specific skill deficits and needs.
3 hours
After enrollment, the BCBA and the ABA team will develop a comprehensive 6-12 month Individualized Education Program (IEP) for your child. This program will focus on addressing specific skill deficits and needs, including communication skills, social skills, sensory and behavioral issues, academic skills, and everyday life skills. Please note that this is part of the ABA program.
At ABC, we are committed to providing high-quality assessments and ABA programs tailored to the needs of each child. Contact us today to schedule a consultation with one of our BCBAs.
