What is a BCBA?
A BCBA is a professional who has met the qualifications set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board [BACB] and has passed a rigorous examination in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis [ABA]. The BACB is an internationally recognized organization that sets the standards for ABA practice and certification.
BCBAs are trained in the principles of ABA and have the knowledge and skills to design, implement, and evaluate behavior change programs. They work with individuals of all ages, including children with autism and other developmental disorders, to help them improve their behavior and reach their full potential.
BCBAs typically work in a variety of settings such as clinics, schools, homes, and community-based organizations. They may also provide consultations to families, teachers, and other professionals
As a parent, working with a BCBA can be beneficial for your child’s development and behavior.
A BCBA can conduct an assessment to determine your child’s strengths and weaknesses and create a customized program plan to address their specific needs. They can also provide support and guidance to you as a parent to help you understand and manage your child’s behavior at home.
For professionals, working with a BCBA can be beneficial to enhance their understanding of ABA principles, techniques, and best practices. They can also provide support and guidance on how to effectively implement ABA interventions in the work setting. ABC of Kuwait has the highest number of BCBAs in Kuwait, and the second highest number of BCBAs in any center in the Middle East and North Africa. This has come because of our core belief in investing in our team and providing the opportunity for them to gain their BCBA at ABC.
